IBTEDA 'The BEGINNING'

Hope you're all well and looking forward to the arrival of spring! The annual SALA festival is now in full swing and this year I'm taking part in 2 exhibitions.

Ibteda 'The Beginning'
This is a very special exhibition for me as its my first exhibition since becoming an Australian citizen. I have dreamed of being able to call Adelaide home and have created a number of works on paper and silk to celebrate the occasion.

Each piece tells the story of my feelings and emotional change stirring within me, while undergoing the amazing journey of calling Australia home. I wanted to thank the people of Adelaide for giving me so much support and encouragment during this time.

Magnum Opus
Gallery and cafe, Red Opus launched with a group exhibition and features my Henna works exploring meaning within ancient symbols.

In September, I'll also be taking part in the annual Loreto Spring Art Exhibition and as an artist in residence at Pembroke School.

In October, I'll be part of OzAsia 2009 with talks, workshops and an exhibition "Following Threads". Stay tuned for more details!
